I created this sound by taking two large cobblestone blocks and hit one against the other. Good for sound design. There is a little rattle on some of the heavier hits, it couldn't be helped since the block is so heavy.

This is my attempt to emulate the sound of the harmony 64 chimes that can be heard on some ice cream trucks. I used a single note from a low-quality recording from a demo of the chimes for the base synth then cleaned up the audio using audacity and set the starting pitch to "c". I then composed a short variation of a well-known song (bicycle built for two in this case). This sample is part of the icefield-library. I used a pair of soundman okm2 mics as contact microphones which i fixed to the surface of a frozen lake, then recorded the sounds made by throwing or skimming several stones and pebbles across the ice. Wonderful effects can also be achieved by filtering or timestretching the files.

Since snow has been so widespread, thought it would be a good time to stockpile the beautiful crunchy, crisp sound of walking on it. This was recorded the evening of february 15, 2021 using my marantz pmd661 audio recorder and the bulletproof, dynamic beyerdynamic me58 microphone. The temperature was 2 degrees farenheit.
